Ball 2 Privacy Policy
Last updated: Sep 19, 2025
At Sperry Labs (Company that makes Ball 2), we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how the
Ball 2 app (“the App”) handles information. The App
is designed for kids and families, including children under 13. We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy
Protection Act (COPPA) and other applicable privacy laws.
Information We Collect
- Name and Age:
The App asks for a first name or
nickname and age. It’s to be friendly and help the user make the best age appropriate games. This
information is stored only on the user’s device. It is
never sent to Sperry Labs, shared with others, or used to personally identify anyone.
- Conversational AI Input:
When users type or
speak words to interact with the App’s conversational AI, those words are securely sent to the
OpenAI API so the system can generate a response.
- Sperry Labs does not store these conversations.
- OpenAI may process the input and output for service improvement,
safety monitoring, and to deliver the response.
- We do not use this data to personally identify users.
- No Other Personal Data:
We do not
collect or request email, phone number, address, or geolocation.
- No Third-Party Tracking:
We do not
include advertising networks, in-app trackers, or analytics services.
Information We Receive
The only information Sperry Labs receives about the App comes from:
- Apple App Store Connect and Google Play Console: These provide aggregated, anonymous statistics such as
number of downloads, crash reports, and general usage data.
- This information does not identify individual users.
How We Use Information
- To make the conversational AI work (via OpenAI API).
- To help users enjoy the App experience.
- To improve the App’s performance and fix technical
issues.
- To understand general usage trends.
Parental Rights
Parents or guardians can contact us at privacy@sperrylabs.com to:
- Ask questions about this Privacy Policy.
- Request deletion of any data that may have been collected.
Data Storage and Security
- Nickname and age (if entered) are stored locally on the
device.
- Conversations are processed by the OpenAI API but not stored by
Sperry Labs.
- No personal information leaves the device unless entered into the AI
chat (e.g., if a child types their real name). We strongly encourage parents to remind children not to share
personal details.
- We take steps to ensure the App is safe and secure for
children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are made, we will
update the “Last Updated” date above. We encourage parents to review this Policy periodically.
